How to do Corpse Pose

Today we explore Corpse Pose (Savasana).

Yes - it is a morbid name for a yoga pose! But let me tell ya, this pose has a number of AMAZING benefits! This posture invites us to relax our mind and body, and encourages us to find stillness and inner calm. This is why we typically experience Corpse Pose at the end of a yoga class. You may also see this posture at the beginning of a yoga class, as it gives you the opportunity to settle in and make the most of your practice. In addition, you can use this time to set an intention for how you plan to move both on and off your mat.

Optional Items: two blankets OR two pillows OR a combo of the two props.

These items will give us a restorative feel as we explore this posture.

Variations will be offered if these items are not available to you.
