Yoga For Chronic Pain - Gentle Yoga Stretch

Hello sweet friends! Thank you for joining me on the mat for this sweet, gentle, nourishing and loving yoga class for chronic pain relief.

Firstly, I am so sorry to learn that you are experiencing pain at the present moment. I am giving you a virtual hug and sending love your way.

When we are experiencing physical pain, the last thing we may want to do is move. Sitting down on your mat for your yoga practice may not feel possible or ideal. Perhaps you are finding it difficult for the mind to be in the here and now because of the pain. Maybe you are not in a good mood and you are feeling frustrated.

I would like to put your mind at ease right now by extending a loving invitation to come to today’s practice exactly as you are.

If sitting on the ground feels like it could be too much, then join this practice from a chair or couch.

If certain movements don’t feel right for you, back out of the posture and/or try another variation of the posture. Also, make use of household items to support you in your practice! Grab pillows, couch cushions and blankets. Make this practice your own!

If you feel like you don’t want to move or have the time for movement, sit and breathe with us for a few minutes. Sometimes all it takes is a few breath cycles to create a shift in energy and perspective.

If you are not in the mood for yoga - great! Stir the pot a little and see what happens!

Today’s yoga class includes breathwork, gentle stretches, restorative yoga poses, a full body scan to release tension, and a loving reminder that you are not alone.

It is my hope that this class serves you well!
