10 Minute Bedtime Yoga To Wind Down
Welcome to your 10 Minute Bedtime Yoga Class to help you wind down and relax. This is the perfect sequence to get you ready for a restful night of sleep! š“
Our days can be quite hectic. Finding ways to relax your body and mind at the end of your day may be a chore in itself.
Itās almost like we have to be a light switch at the end of our days. We may find it very difficult to turn off that light switch at the end of the day, especially after being āonā all day.
Forcing our mind and body to relax may in fact create some more friction. I canāt even count the number of times where Iāve been lying in bed telling myself to just relax and fall asleep. The issue is that I didnāt prepare my mind and body for sleep.
So instead of being like a light switch before bed (going from that go, go, go state to complete stillness), letās explore being like a dial.
We can accomplish this through gentle yoga stretches, breathwork and listening to relaxing music before bed. Of course there are other things that you can do, such as reading a book, a meditation practice, going for an evening walk, drinking a cool glass of water, and so on.
In this class, we act like a dial as we wind down to get your mind and body ready for bed.
You can do this practice in bed or on your yoga mat.
Nice to have items are a pillow and a blanket. These items are optional.
