Yoga For Seniors | Gentle Yoga Stretches

Join Yoga with Rachel for a slow, mindful and supportive yoga class.

This yoga class is fantastic for seniors and beginners to yoga. This practice is fantastic for those experiencing stiff or sore muscles, and for anyone looking for a gentle yoga class.

We engage in gentle yoga stretches and explore postures that support joint health.

Return to this class often to improve posture, flexibility, mobility, strength and balance!

The seated portion of today’s class can be done from the comfort of a chair or couch.

If you decide to join me on the ground, I invite you to bring some blankets along with you and yoga blocks or similar sized items (couch cushions work great too). We can use the blankets to sit on. The blankets can help create more space in the lower body by lifting the hips. This allows us to explore sitting tall through the spine. The yoga blocks can be used under the knees to support us in our seated posture.

There are so many options to explore, which is why I love at-home yoga practices! You can really make this yoga practice your own!

As we move today, I invite you to listen to your body. If something doesn’t feel right, back out of the posture. Try another variation or connect with your breath.
