Self care yoga. What a special and precious gift you are giving yourself.
This class welcomes all levels, including those new to yoga.
Taking time for you isn’t always an easy thing to do.
Even taking 15 minutes to give back to your mind and body may seem impossible at this very moment.
If you are thinking “yup, that’s how I feel” - please know that you are not the only one having that thought.
Most of the time, we are in “giving mode.” Giving our time and energy to many different things throughout the day. When we constantly give, we may find ourselves feeling depleted.
Perhaps this imagery will be useful.
Imagine that you are a cup. You start your day full of water. Full of life and energy. Throughout the day, you give this water to other efforts (work, family, friends, things on the to-do list, cleaning, etc.). By the end of the day you may have no water left over. Giving is good. However with that said, you also need to find ways to replenish your cup. To tend to yourself in a loving way. Now this can look like many different things. The point is that self-care is one way in which you can fill your cup back up so that way you have the energy to do the things that matter most to you.
