Join Yoga with Rachel on the mat for a Heart Opening Yoga Flow 💜

If you are practicing with me in real-time, Valentine’s Day is tomorrow, so I figured that a gentle, loving and supportive heart opening practice would be welcomed.

Heart opening yoga postures offer a fantastic stretch to the chest, while at the same time, strengthens the back body.

Heart openers encourage expansion throughout the ribcage, encouraging the breath to deepen as we cultivate more space in this area of the body.

In addition to this, heart openers support healthy posture and can reduce tightness in the upper back body, shoulder area.

Our hearts store emotion. There are times when the heart holds onto emotions or feelings that could be doing more harm than good.

Heart opening yoga flows can encourage us to release that which doesn’t serve, and in doing so, we make space to receive that which fills our cup.

What this looks like and feels like differs from person to person.
