Breathing Techniques for Anxiety and Stress Relief
In today’s practice, we connect to our breath. The breath can be an exceptional tool that can help calm down the nervous system, tend to frayed nerves, relax the mind and body, invite fresh oxygen into the body, and it can even boost our mood.
Breath techniques are great during those moments when we are feeling stressed, anxious, overwhelmed, frustrated, upset, etc.
The breath techniques that we explore today are useful in a number of different situations, such as while you are driving, before a job interview, before an public presentation, a test, and so forth.
In this practice, we take some time to settle in. We then do a full body scan, which encourages the mind and body to begin to relax and soften. This is useful for encouraging the breath to travel more freely throughout the body. We also practice visualization, belly breath, and equal breathing. To conclude, we connect our breath to movement.
