Yoga for Inflammation - Reduce Inflammation in the Body

Inflammation can occur for a number of reasons. It could be due to lack of sleep, something we ate, hormonal changes, a health condition, and perhaps the biggest culprit is stress.

Stress can wreak havoc on the nervous system, triggering a fight or flight response, which can lead to inflammation in the body.

Inflammation can include: joint pain, stiffness, swelling, red patches on the skin, allergies, changes in cognitive function (brain fog), bloating or cramping, reduced range of motion, and so forth.

Today’s practice is a restorative flow! We spend time in each posture, stay nice and low to the ground, explore gentle movements, and connect to our breath. The breath is such an important tool, especially when it comes to reducing inflammation, as it can help nourish both the mind and body!
